It's a punky-pop sort of sound. Some of the lyrics are covolutedly candid, but it really does add to the experience. It's an eargasm and a half. The sound is very well rounded- the keyboard is central to the sound, IMO. |

I suppose if I have to lable it (which I'm not that good at) I would call it alternative country / indie. It has 3 good aspects. 1) Songs: Ohia, 2) Jason Molina, and 3) Magnolia Electric co.
Jason Molina is the leadsinger and I just love his voice. The music is very relaxing and just amazing. Listen if you're not already listening... |

The music is just...I dunno, it just has such a good feel to it. It's complex...it sort of has electronica elements, but they're not boring beats or anything. And the singer's voice is just beautiful. PLUS they did a cover of Everybody Wants to Be A Cat. Which wins. |
